Steve Darling
Anchor, Morning News
Steve Darling was born in North York, Ontario but soon moved to North Delta, B.C. That was considered exceptionally insightful since Steve was only three years of age at the time.
All through his days at Seaquam Secondary School, he longed for a radio career. His first job was with CKWX where he produced the Vancouver Canadians baseball broadcasts.
He was spotted by Province columnist Tony Gallagher who brought him on-board for his talk show.
Soon it was Steve behind the microphone.
His first stop was with CKEG Nanaimo.
Later, he returned to the Lower Mainland as co-host with David Pratt on the Sports Machine Talk show, then moved on to become "Steve the Stunt Guy" at JR Country. From there, his full-circle move brought him back to CKWX Sports.
When Steve's not covering golf, baseball and hockey, he's playing them recreationally.
Aside from that, he's a movie buff who puts "It's a Wonderful Life" at the top of his list of favorites.
Steve now co-anchors the Global BC morning news.
