Legislature bureau chief Keith Baldrey, based in Victoria, regularly reports live on the Noon News Hour and 5 p.m. Early News, and files daily stories for the 6 p.m. News Hour.
He's also a weekly radio commentator on the "cutting edge of the ledge" segment of the Bill Good Show on CKNW, and writes a weekly syndicated newspaper column for PostMedia papers in the Lower Mainland
The year 2010 marks Keith's 16th year at Global BC. Before joining, he was a reporter at The Vancouver Sun for 11 years.
Keith has been in Victoria 25 years, covering B.C. politics the whole time. He has also co-written one book, with Gary Mason, entitled "Fantasyland: Inside the Reign of Bill Vander Zalm."
Keith was born in North Vancouver and grew up in south Burnaby.
He is married to journalist Anne Mullens and has two grown children. His activities and hobbies include tennis, golf, swimming, biking, reading, cooking, NY Times crossword puzzles, and hanging out with his family.
Things Keith likes about his job: getting scoops, live reporting, and trying to stay on top of the ever-changing world of B.C. politics.
