Q: Position?
A: Marble player, caption writer and occasional reporter
Q: Shows/segments on which you appear?
A: 6:55 pm.
Q: How long have you been at Global BC?
A: 32 years:
Q: How long have you lived in Vancouver?
A: I have lived in the same shoes for 10 years... and in B.C. 35 years. That's a long time for shoes.
Q: What is your hometown?
A: I was born during a snowstorm in New York City. Three months later the Allies invaded Europe to keep me safe.
Q: Schools/universities attended?
A: I went to school at night - Pace University, in New York, for ten years. After that they gave me a degree and said, "Go away." The degree is in political science, which means I know if politicians have mould growing on them.
Q: Favourite part of your job?
A: Typing. I try to get the keys in the right order.
Q: Proudest professional achievement?
A: Saving a dog from a swollen river. But I didn't know the dog was safe on a sand bar.
Q: Most embarrassing broadcast moment?
A: During a live interview I forgot the name of the person I was talking to, and what we were talking about.
Q: Spouse/children?
A: Yes.
Q: Pets?
A: No. Except for my neighbour's cat, which I pet but don't have to feed.
Q: Favourite books? Movies? Web sites?
A: Dr. Seuss and Shakespeare. They have so much to teach.
Q: Favourite local restaurant and/or watering hole?
A: The Knight and Day at 3am. I like the customers, and bacon and eggs.
Q: Hobbies/sports/recreational activities:
A: No.
Q: Are you interested in contributing to the Web site --a column or live chat, for example? Do you have any suggestions for the site in general, or ideas about encouraging interaction with viewers?
A: I would like to write about stories behind the stories if you would like that. If not, I'll be quiet.
