Robin Stickley
Anchor, News Hour Weekend
Robin has been with Global BC since January 2004 when she moved over from sister station Global Edmonton where she co-hosted the Morning News for four years. She currently anchors the News Hour on weekends at Global BC.
Though originally from British Columbia, Robin grew up in an “air force” family and lived her life mostly overseas in Germany. Robin came back to Canada for her education and graduated from the journalism program at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology.
Her first journalism job was in Red Deer where she worked in various positions, from shooting and editing to anchoring the news and rolling the prompter.
A lover of languages, Robin is fluent in French and loves story telling, a quality that makes broadcast journalism a perfect career for her.
Outside of work, Robin manages to keep herself active by running, scuba diving, sailing and traveling and is a self-described airplane junkie. She even got to ride in an F-18 a few years ago.
She completed her first half IRONMAN triathlon this June in Oliver, B.C., and also her first Ride to Conquer Cancer.
Robin lives in Vancouver and spends her quality time with family and her beloved 6-year-old pug, Doug.
