Ted’s reporting career started when he was 11 years old and he received a tape recorder as a gift.

He started interviewing friends and family and has managed to turn that into a career.

Before joining Global BC, Ted spent over twenty years as a reporter at CKNW-AM radio in Vancouver, covering everything from Expo ’86 to the Stanley Cup riot.

In 1999, Ted was arrested while making a live report during the “Battle of Seattle” riots and spent seven hours in custody.

His riot stories won him several Jack Webster and Edward R. Murrow broadcast journalism awards.

Ted says the best things about being a reporter are meeting neat people, seeing amazing things and being paid to do it!
