The Variety Show of Hearts Telethon took place on February 11th and 12th.

More than 2,500 volunteers donated their time, and thousands of people donate money to make the event a success.

This year the telethon raised $6,753,012.

In 2011 viewers raised $7,012,483.

This year the telethon featured members of the Global BC and CHBC news team, and Sesame Street alum Bob McGrath, among others.

Entertainment segments featured Michael Buble, Mariah Carey, Bryan Adams, Phil Collins, and Adele, to name a few.

Magic Moment: Drew and Dante

Drew and Dante are both hearing impaired and were wearing hearing aids that were donated to them. That is when Variety stepped in to help.

Magic Moment: Susan

After a devastating accident, Susan was worried she would never dance again. She has now battled back and had a surprise for everyone during the Telethon on Sunday.

Magic Moment: Cole

Variety provided $1,900 in Emergency Response Funds for accommodation and gas expenses while the family was at Children’s Hospital in Vancouver, and Cole received a surprise on this year's telethon.

Magic Moment: Savvy

This five-year-old girl was diagnosed with Infantile Spasms, but thanks to the gift of a new chair (and something extra) she will hopefully be sitting more comfortable now.

Feature: Desiree's story

Desiree and her family were surprised on the telethon last year. We check in with them this year to see how she is doing!
