Wesla wakes up everyday thinking how lucky she is to not only live in such a beautiful province but also to tell you about the wacky world of weather in BC.
After graduating from Simon Fraser University in communications and criminology, Wesla was offered a job in marketing. But soon she followed her heart and pursued her interest in the media. She started at a Vancouver sports radio station before she was shipped to Kelowna where she worked at Shaw TV and Global Okanagan as a television host. Currently Wesla is finishing her last year at Mississippi State University in the meteorology program and is looking forward to being a meteorologist in 2012.
When Wesla joined Global BC in April 2008, she felt blessed to return back to her roots but the one thing she misses about the Okanagan is wakeboarding on Kalamalka Lake.
When Wesla is not working or studying, she enjoys playing all sports, and her favorite ones are soccer and golf. She also enjoys playing the piano, ukulele, and guitar in her free time.
